North Daviess R-3 will solicit bids for snow removal of the parking lots, according to minutes from the Oct. 15 meeting of the North Daviess R-3 Board of Education.
Upcoming events include the parent/teacher conferences from 1-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 25; no school on Oct. 26; and trunk or treat for elementary at 1 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the parking lot; and senior carnival on Nov. 2.
Red Ribbon Week starts Oct. 23. Four students will be attending the National FFA Convention Oct. 24-27.
Overall attendance was at 96.39% with the total student enrollment at 62 with three in preschool; 32 in elementary; and 27 in high school.
Recent events include the elementary DEAR Day (Drop Everything And Read); Title 1 Family Fun Night with 55 attending; and fire safety program for elementary.
Junior high basketball has started. The first game was Oct. 11 with wins over East Harrison Bobcats. North Daviess has five players on the teams.
The next board meeting was set for Nov. 19 in the conference room at 6 p.m. Board members present: Paul Caven, Amy McMahon, David Lainhart and Jason Lewis, Jim Duly and Natalie May.
