The Gallatin Garden Club had their Oct. 16 meeting with Veda Heldenbrand as hostess at her home. At the noon hour Addison Burns, a Gallatin senior FFA student, came and gave her presentation project for the members. Addison is one of 12 national finalists for competition in an agriscience fair at the FFA convention in Indianapolis, IN, Oct. 24-27. Her project was very educational. She presented pictures, graphs and held a question and answer session. The club wishes her the best. Her mother Tara Burns and her sister Aubrey were guests.
It was announced during the business meeting that due to the drought, winds, and heavy rains, no more Yards of the Month will be chosen this year.
The club will be making an end of the year money donation to the Gallatin senior center and the Gallatin Ministerial Alliance.
Jennifer William and Jean Caldwell had several clever tree guides. Veda Heldenbrand was the Yard of the Month for October with many pretty mums blooming around her home.
Sarah Dowell and Betty Peters will have the November meeting.
