Linda was born May 21, 1946, in Saint Louis, to Elmer Morgan Trigg and Patricia Cawthon.
She was a graduate of Hazelwood High School and was 4th in her class of 1,600. She also graduated from Central Missouri State and University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Linda was raised Presbyterian then joined the Christian Church. In the Christian Church, she taught classes, started groups and helped start two churches in Council Bluffs, IA, and another in Fremont, NV.
She taught music at Peter Sarpy Elementary in Council Bluffs, IA, and Wolwend Elementary in Oakville, and also in Fremont, NE, and Jameson. She introduced the Ortf method to the talented and gifted programs at the schools.
She had private music studios in Oakville and Las Vegas.
Linda was a member of P.E.O. International for 40 years and was responsible for helping send young women to Cottey College.
During her life, she had multiple medical problems. She had three tumors removed before leaving high school. Her back was broken five times and her neck two times. She had two knee replacements and a brain operation. Then in 2013, she was diagnosed with colon cancer that required operations in 2013 and 2016; chemotherapy was used throughout the five years.
She leaves behind her husband, Stewart Maroif; sons, Victor Marolf and Devin Marolf, all of Las Vegas; sister, Debbie Kruckmeyer; brother-in-law, Thomas Kruckmeyer, of Jefferson City; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Marolf) Urwiller; brother-in-law, Nell Urwiller, of Casper, WY.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Rd., Las Vegas, NV, 89130.
