Frances Lorraine Christie, 94, Empire Prairie, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at a King City, Missouri nursing home.

She was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Union Star, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Goldie (Goforth) Bashor.

Lorraine married Risdon E. Christie on Dec. 31, 1941. They were married 70 years and were the parents of four children.

She lived most of her life in the Empire Prairie Community where she was born and raised.

She was an active member of the Empire Prairie Presbyterian Church until the building burned Jan. 6, 1983. She then united in membership with the First Christian Church of King City. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed participating in church activities.

Lorraine was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She also enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful flowers. She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching baseball and football games. She would cheer for the Royals and Chiefs, or the underdog in other games. Lorraine herself played volleyball and was a cheerleader at Union Star High School.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brother, Russell Bashor; and granddaughter, Krista Rae Jacoby.

Lorraine is survived by: her four children, Joyce (John) White, Lake Viking, Missouri, Janice (Ron) Eulinger, Lees Summit, Missouri, Teresa (Jim) Jacoby, Maryville, Missouri, and Dwight (Vicki) Christie, Rea, Missouri; brother, Eddie Bashor, King City; grandchildren, Jeff (Linda) White, Jennifer (Jason) Winter, Jeremy (Barb) White, Jana (Randy) Hanson, Christie (Justin) Brown, Patrick (Wendy) Eulinger, Karri Jacoby, Kimberly (Joe) Shepherd, Kylie Dyche, Bobby (Dana) Christie, Dana Lorenz and Corbet Bucher; great-grandchildren, Zane (Molly) Eulinger, Anna Eulinger, Jordan Pettit (Mikayla Carey), Laura (Matt) Byrd, Ashley and Nicole White, Jocelyn and Julianna Winter, Risdon, Charlie and Henry White, Grant and Brooklyn Hanson, Caylor and Cohen Dyche, Alayna Shepherd, Morley, Risdon and Laedyn Lorraine Christie, Daniel, Emily and Kendra Bucher; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the First Christian Church, King City, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City.

Burial will follow in King City Cemetery, King City.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, at the church and friends may call from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Roberson Funeral Home, King City.
