Showdown in the GRC West

Something has to give Friday night in Stanberry as the Bulldogs and Pattonsburg Panthers square off for the lead in GRC eight-man standings. The Panthers come in averaging 69.5 points per game on offense while the Bulldogs bring a 52.5 ppg average to the contest.

Worth County also remains unbeaten overall and in the GRC with five league contests remaining.

Quarterback Steven Willhite had a hand in nine Panther touchdowns in Friday night’s 76-30 victory over King City. Willhite, who ran for three scores, tossed TD passes to Cameron Jones (2), Trevor Ireland (3) and Brett Emig. Kaden deJong also threw TD passes to Emig and Dakota Eaton.

Willhite finished with 393 passing yards on 28-of-31 attempts. Jones caught five balls for 157 yards.
