Funeral services for Cindy Gentry were held Sept. 18 at Blue Ridge Church, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, with burial in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cindy Gentry Memorial Fund for expenses in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
Cindy Kay Gentry, 58, Bethany, died Sept. 13, 2018, at a Des Moines, IA, hospital.
She was born May 13, 1960, in Macon, the daughter of Donald James and Elizabeth Irene (Shoemaker) Smith.
On March 3, 1990, she married Glen Gentry in Calio. He survives of the home. Cindy worked as a food service clerk for South Harrison Elementary School. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jeffrey Smith; and nephew, Clare Guernsey.
Survivors in addition to her husband Glen are daughters, Melissa (Patrick) Miller, Bethany, and Kaley (Kyle) Cornett, Pattonsburg; son, Payton Gentry of the home; five grandsons, Aiden Miller, Myer Gibson, Jackson, Tucker and Hank Cornett; sisters, Genia (Rodney) Ashenfelter, Pam and Sharon Smith; brothers, Steve and Darin Smith; several nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, Dale and Clara Belle Gentry, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Vicki Guernsey and Rick and Christi Plymell.
