Emily L. Brown, 78, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at King City Manor.
Emily, the daughter of Emil and Nina Opal (Smith) Carter, was born March 7, 1940, in Daviess County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Burnadine Taylor, and her brother, Bill Carter.
Emily served as manager for the Pattonsburg Senior Center for several years.
Survivors include son, Doug (Yvette) Shaw, Jameson; granddaughter, Amber Shaw; brother, Garry Carter, Bethany; sister, IRetha Robertson, Pattonsburg; sister-in-law, Katie Carter, Kansas City, KS; several nieces, nephews and friends.
