The 2018 Gallatin High School Homecoming theme is “Road Trip.”

Events will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 26, with the coronation, pep rally and bonfire. Coronation will begin at 7.

Spirit Days: Monday – No School; Tuesday – Truck Stop Tuesday (dress as a trucker, tourist, from any state, etc… anything having to do with a road trip); Wednesday – Color War: Seniors – black, Juniors – red, Sophomores – white, Freshmen – gray, 8th Grade -blue, 7th Grade – green, 6th Grade – yellow, 5th Grade – purple; Thursday – Meme/Vine Day (dress as your favorite); Friday – Red and Black Day.

The parade is on Friday, Sept. 28. Lineup will be at the high school. Please show up between 1:10-1:30 to get your number. The parade will leave the school at 1:45 p.m. to arrive up town by 2 p.m. Candy cannot be thrown. If you wish to hand candy out, you must walk beside your entry and hand it out, not throw it.

The parade will leave the school and go east down Mill Street to Main Street, then north to Casey’s and turn left. The parade will end in front of the Gallatin Lumber Yard.

All students will be dismissed at 12:30. Students may ride the bus home or parents may make arrangements for students to get to the parade.

Floats will be built at the school again this year. Grades 7-12 will be dismissed to their class sponsors after attendance and lunch count is taken. Class sponsors will take them to the designated area to work on floats until time for lunch.

The football game is Friday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. against the South Harrison Bulldogs. Please come support the Bulldogs and don’t forget your red and black!

Homecoming candidates are as follows:  Student Council, Ally Jo Johnson and Aidan Adkison; seniors, Addi Stanley and Adam Perry and Bethany Bailey and Mic Warner; juniors, Annie Nelson and Drayton Harris and Macie McNeely and Tristen Gibson. Attendants are sophomores Jenna Rains and Jarom Perry and freshmen Kylie Stagner and Brantley Burns.

The Art Club will be decorating windows of businesses uptown for a donation as a fundraiser.

The dance is Saturday, Sept. 29, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the high school gymnasium for grades 9-12. The cost is $5 per person.
