Ethan Green, 2018 Penney High grad, is a freshman leader of the Elmhurst (Ill.) College varsity golf team. Green, on Tuesday, shot the lowest 36-hole score of any Elmhurst Blue Jay golfer in at least a decade.

Green’s five under par round of 139 tied him for first place in the individual standings in the Aurora University Double Gun Invitational held at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol, Ill. Green accepted the second place trophy for his efforts after a scorecard tiebreaker.

Green was a four-time all-district, sectional and all-state performer at Penney High School.

For Jett Simmons and the Missouri Western golf team, the season opens next Monday at the Mule Invitational in Warrensburg.
