The following bids were approved by the Pattonsburg Board of Education during their meeting held July 18: Anderson Erickson for milk, MFA for fuel; and Hy-Vee for bread.

District fees were approved as presented. Handbooks were approved.

The nursing agreement with the Daviess Health Department was approved.

Myron Fore was hired as maintenance director/bus driver. Kari Ireland was hired as a substitute bus driver.

The above are the approved minutes. Present at the July 18 meeting were Jason Teel, Greg Coin, Stephanie Mason, Brian Teel, Lyle Hoover, and Nathan Woodward. Laura Booth was absent.

The Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education held the tax rate hearing on Aug. 17 and set the tax rate as follows: Incidental Fund Levy $4.6199; Teachers Fund $0.0000; Debt Service Fund Levy $0.5623; Capital Projects Fund $0.0000; Total Tax Rate $5.1822. The assessed valuation for R-2 is $14,866,298.

The regular meeting of the board followed and Superintendent Scott Ireland introduced the board to the new teachers and staff that were visitors.

Green & White Night was a success.

Elementary and high school principals gave their board reports.

Devon Stevens was hired for the paraprofessional position; Wayne Hinnenkamp as new bus driver; and Billy Goble for transportation director.
