Lori Kloepping will tell you that she is “one lucky gal.”
“If I had to be diagnosed with a condition that required a kidney transplant, it could not have happened in a more wonderful community and surrounding area,” she said. She will tell you that the community and family outpouring has been overwhelming and that she could not be more grateful.
Now comes additional support, which is needed for Lori to continue on her medication and for doctor’s expenses.
Paul Pierce (actually a double cousin to Lori) and the Pierce family have come up with another rather unique fundraiser.
Paul runs Pierce Gun Works out of his parts business, Pierce Auto Supply, on the northwest corner of the square. Paul is donating a custom rifle to be raffled to raise additional funds for Lori and her medical needs.
Paul is a talented gunsmith who has completely hand-crafted a beautiful custom bolt action rifle and donated it for the raffle. The crafting of the gun has been a Pierce family project with both Andrew and Daniel contributing. A detailed description and picture of the rifle appears in a donated ad elsewhere in this paper.
Additionally, the rifle may be viewed more closely at Paul’s store.
Tickets will be sold for $20 each with a goal of selling 300 tickets. The drawing will be held Sept. 17 at the Gallatin Chautauqua Saturday night program. Ticket printing costs have been donated by Gallatin Publishing.
All of the sale proceeds from the raffle will go to the Kloepping family.
