The Jamesport City Council will place ads in Chillicothe, Trenton, Jamesport and Gallatin advertising the sale of city properties located at 108 Allen Lane, and the old fire station at 116 South Broadway. The ads will run for three weeks. Bids will be taken until 5 p.m. on Oct. 9 and bids will open at the regular meeting at 5:30 on Oct. 9.

The decision to advertise the property was made after a special closed session of the council held on Aug. 20, to consider the leasing, purchase or sale of real-estate. Members in attendance were Geoff Eads, Gary Alexander and Freda Garner. Rob Murphy was absent. Mayor Ray Bontrager was also in attendance.
