Two women received minor injuries in an accident that happened one mile west of Trenton at 10:19 a.m. on Aug. 14 in Grundy County.
According to the Highway Patrol, both vehicles were westbound on Highway 6. At the Thompson River Bridge, Angela Gott, 37, Laredo, was slowing to make a left turn onto Southwest 30th Avenue and was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Leeza Siddoway, 23, Jamesport.
Ms. Siddoway’s 2003 Ford Expedition rotated 180 degrees and came to rest in the westbound lane. Ms. Gott’s 2004 GMC Yukon came to rest on the westbound shoulder. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt. Both were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton by Grundy County EMS.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. C.D. O’Hara, assisted by Sgt. J.J. Rongey, Grundy County Sheriff and Rural Fire.
