A Joplin woman received minor injuries in an accident that happened at 11:23 a.m. on Aug. 15 in Daviess County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Misty Turpin, 41, Joplin, was northbound on I-35 at the 74 mile marker, driving a 2018 Ford Fiesta. About 11 miles north of Altamont, her vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway onto the median. The vehicle then traveled back onto the roadway where the driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the west side of the roadway and into the median. The Fiesta came to rest in the median on its wheels facing northbound.
Ms. Turpin was transported by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional. She was wearing a seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.D. Martin, assisted by Pattonsburg Fire Department and Daviess County EMS.
