A Gallatin teenager received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 1:27 p.m. on Aug. 17 in DeKalb County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Joseph Cleveland, 70, Senatobia, MS, was northbound on Hwy. 69. About four miles north of Cameron, his 2006 Chevrolet HHR crossed the center line, overcorrected, crossed the center line again, traveled off the west side of Hwy. 69, struck an embankment, and came to rest on its wheels facing east.
A passenger in his vehicle, Adison Pratt, 13, Gallatin, his granddaughter, was transported by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing a seat belt.
The HHR had moderate damage. The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball.
