At 8:22 p.m. on Aug. 17, Mary Lou Browning was arrested during a residence check at Coffey. Browning is the former Coffey clerk who is charged with stealing over $60,000 from the City of Coffey.

Browning posted 10% cash of a $35,000 bond. She is scheduled for arraignment before Judge Daren Adkins at 9 a.m. on Sept. 4 in Daviess County Circuit Court.
