An Altamont woman was hurt in an accident at Lake Viking at about 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 17.
According to the Highway Patrol, Patrick Bottcher, 39, Gallatin, was southbound on Lake Viking Terrace.
Donna Redden, 73, Altamont, was northbound. She pulled into the path of Mr. Bottcher’s vehicle.
The front left of Mr. Bottcher’s 2017 Chevrolet 2500 struck the front left of Ms. Redden’s 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Both vehicles came to rest partially off the roadway on their wheels.
Ms. Redden received minor injuries and was transported by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center. It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt. She was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Aug. 18 in Daviess County and charged with DWI-1st. She was released from Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail.
Patrick Bottcher was arrested at 12:18 a.m. on Aug. 18 in Daviess County and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was held at Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. J.M. Cross, assisted by Sgt. L.M. Newman, Tpr. J.P. Lynch, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
