Kelsey Dawn Bird and Zachary Rob Cox were united in marriage at the First Christian Church in Gallatin at 4 p.m. on July 28. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Corey Norman with a reception-dinner and dance following at the Spillman Center in Jamesport.
The bride is the daughter of Clint and Marcia Bird. The groom is the son of Ben and Cynthia Cox. Maternal grandmother in attendance was Betty Bird. Paternal grandparents attending were Sue Cox and Jim Alden. Grandparents attending in memory were the late J.R. Bird, Delbert Cox, Archie and Louetta Blackburn, and Betty Alden.
Kelsey is a 2013 graduate of Gallatin High School. She is now employed with the McCoy and Sample Dental Associates in Hamilton. Zach is a 2013 graduate of Gilman City. Zach owns and operates Cox Electric. The couple postponed their honeymoon until January. The couple resides in Gallatin.
Kelsey and Zach were married in a double-ring ceremony which included a Union Tree Lock ceremony symbolizing the joining of the two families as one. Kelsey’s Maids of Honor were her sisters, Kaitlyn and Kourtney Bird. Bridesmaids were Kaley Cox, Tory Wood and Megan Beck.
Zach’s Best Man was his brother, Tyler Cox. Groomsmen were Howard Bailey, Garrett McNeely, Daniel Pettit and Jacob Bell.
Flower girl was Ellie Toney. Ring bearer was cousin of the bride, Dawson Bird. Book and gift attendant was cousin of the bride, Cayden Johnson. Ushers were cousin of the bride, Trevor Holcomb, and Harrison Pettit.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the aunt of the bride, Sue Bird. Songs played were Who Wants to Fall in Love, I Choose You, and Canon in D. Photography was by Photos by Ally.
