David and Kayla Michael of rural Gallatin are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31, 2018. Their children, Sarah and Alex Mayo of Lee’s Summit, Doug and Angel Michael of Gallatin, and Rebekah and Stuart Reece of Lee’s Summit, are hosting a reception in their honor from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the First Baptist Church, 2421 Oklahoma Avenue, Trenton.
