It took an elaborate subterfuge to lure Jean Caldwell to the basement of the Daviess County Library in Gallatin on Saturday, July 28, but once she arrived, she was greeted by a surprise birthday party. Her ninetieth birthday is on Aug. 1! The celebration was attended by many well-wishers from around the community.
