An Ottawa, KS, teenager received moderate injuries in an accident that happened in Jamesport. He was later arrested.

According to the highway patrol, Sadge Heldenbrandt, 17, Ottawa, KS, was westbound on Route F, driving a 2001 Ford Taurus. At Route F and Vine Street in Jamesport, he crossed the center and ran off the south side of the road. His vehicle struck a utility pole and came to rest on its wheels facing southwest.
Sadge was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital with moderate injures. He was not wearing his seat belt. The Ford Taurus had extensive damage.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. J.S. Johnson, assisted by Tpr. A.D. Martin and Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
Sadge was arrested at 3:33 p.m. by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to the Patrol’s arrest report, Sadge was charged with DWI – drug intoxication; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. He was released for medical treatment to Wright Memorial Hospital and then released from there.
