The Jamesport Board of Aldermen has agreed to purchase a property at 301 West 2nd Street from Marilyn McClure for $64,000 with 10% down and a closing date on or before Oct. 1, 2018. The building on the property will be used as a storage place for city equipment, according to Ray Bontrager, Jamesport mayor.
The decision was made following a tour of the property and building, and a closed session vote at a special closed session meeting on July 12.
Members in attendance were Geoff Eads, Gary Alexander, Rob Murphy, Freda Garner and Mayor Ray Bontrager. Visitors were Marilyn McClure and Adam McClure.
