Heath Carter was appointed to the Tri-County R-7 School Board to finish the unexpired term of Brandon Hoover, who resigned. Mr. Carter will serve until the April election.
In other business at the July 11 meeting, the Jamesport School Board accepted bids for the 2018-2019 school year. They are as follows: bread from Graves; milk with a variable rate option from Hiland Dairy; fuel from Landes and MFA. Additional bids will be sought for cleaning services.
The employee handbook and student handbooks were both approved as presented.
Lunch prices for 2018-2019 were approved with no changes made to student or adult prices from the previous year.
The board moved to cash the maturing certificate of deposit and request bids for reinvestment at the August meeting.
No action was taken after a budget discussion.
The tax rate hearing will be on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m.
The athletic admission prices for 2018-2019 were discussed with no action taken.
An executive session was held for personnel.
The next regular meeting will be 6 p.m. Aug. 8.
