Tom Crouse, a junior at Gallatin High School, competed in the National High School Rodeo Finals last week in Rock Springs, WY. Tom competed in the calf roping earning Reserve National Champion. Tom qualified for the national rodeo by winning the Missouri High School Rodeo calf roping title earlier in the year. At Nationals, Tom roped his first calf in 9.65 seconds for seventh in the round. He was then 10.59 on his second calf which brought him into the short round 20.24 on two head and fourth in the average. Tom was 8.8 on his final calf which made him 20.24 on three calves and earning the reserve championship. Tom is the son of Gene and Carrie Crouse and grandson of Mary Lee Froman-Ellis, all of Gallatin; and grandson of Frances Crouse of St. Joseph.
