Two people from Neosho were hurt in an accident that happened in Daviess County on July 17.
According to the Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as Gary Richards, 63, Neosho, was northbound on I-35. About five miles north of Cameron he lost control of his 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara. The vehicle ran off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree; it came to rest facing north.
Mr. Richards received serious injuries and was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Liberty Hospital. He was not wearing his seat belt.
A passenger in the vehicle, Janell Miller, 60, Neosho, received minor injuries and was transported by Cameron Ambulance to Liberty Hospital. She was wearing her seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. J.M. Cross, assisted by Sgt. J.S. Johnson, Tpr. A.D. Martin, and Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
