Gallatin Seventh-day Adventist Community Service Center invites the public to attend a ResCare program that offers temporary assistance to those who qualify. The program is from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24.
The program gives cash benefits to low income persons to help pay for basic needs, according to Ryan Wiedeman at ResCare in Chillicothe.
“It will offer some assistance to people to get back on their feet,” he says.
Who is eligible? You must have a child under 18, or under 19 if child is in high school. You must have income and resources under $1,000 each month. You must have no felony drug conviction after Aug. 22, 1996. (Children in home may still be eligible.)
No RSVP is required to attend the program. The service center is located at 1207 South Clay Street in Gallatin.
