Fireworks spectacular at Jamesport

The first annual “Fireworks Spectacular” was held July 5 at the Jamesport City Park. The evening was filled with fun, food, softball, and a fireworks finale. Li’l Red Shed Fireworks, owned by Bill and Susie Bear, co-spon­sored the event with the James­port Community Association. Licensed Pyrotechnic Steven Wald from Wald Fireworks was in charge of the fireworks dis­play.
After the ice cream social, a community softball game was played. The Jamesport Lions Club conces­sion stand was open. A very large crowd attended the event, to support the Jamesport Com­munity Association, the Jamesport Lions Club, and the many spon­sors who made it possible.
