Becky Morris was hired as special education director and Nichelle Cameron as special education teacher during the May 16 meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Education. Tina Granier was hired as fourth grade teacher; Brittany Taylor as counselor; and Elizebeth Malotte as business/math teacher.

May bills were approved along with a Fund 1 transfer to Fund 3.
Superintendent Scott Ireland reported that there are a few leaks in the new school building from the big rain a few weeks ago. McKinstry, the construction company, would arrive after school was out for the summer to see where the leaks were coming from.
The board held executive session to discuss personnel, student matters, and legal issues.
