Both the Gallatin elementary and middle school received the Bronze Award at the School-wide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) conference during opening ceremonies held June 19.
There were 149 Missouri public and charter schools recognized for exemplary implementation of School-wide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS). SW-PBS is an evidence based, proactive approach to teaching and reinforcing behavioral expectations in order to improve student behavior, maximize instructional time, and increase student engagement.
The exemplar schools were honored during the thirteenth annual Missouri SW-PBS Summer Institute (SI) opening ceremonies on June 19 at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.
Over 1,000 educators attended this conference to celebrate their exemplary schools, to network with other educators, and to learn about systems, data and practices that improve behavioral outcomes for students.
