Gallatin mercifully received about an inch of much needed rainfall yesterday, but what’s good for some impacts others in different ways. Construction of a Highway 13 bridge replacement south of town was stalled due to weather. Workers there mentioned that this project is more challenging than some other bridge replacements. Work space is tight, and neighboring farmers have been helpful in developing the necessary work space. The detour on Highway 13 continues through September. MoDOT crews may also be conducting other road work in the area, including pothole patching, mowing, shoulder work, bridge maintenance, striping, brush cutting, and guardrail repairs.
