Alva B. Cogdill, 60, Jameson, died June 21, 2018. No scheduled services are planned. Cremation is under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.

Alva was born Nov. 27, 1957, the son of Alva and Shirley Cogdill in St. Joseph. He attended high school in St. Joseph and later enlisted in the Navy.
Alva worked as a carpenter in the St. Joseph area before moving to Jameson in the mid-eighties where he continued his carpenter work.
Alva was preceded in death by his parents.
