Kimberly Beck, age 48, of Kansas City, passed away Saturday, June 16th, 2018 at North Kansas City Hospital.  Services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, June 22nd at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Visitation will be at 10 AM.  Interment will be at Black Oak Cemetery near Braymer, MO.  Memorial contributions are suggested to National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Kansas City, MO.

Kim was born on April 13th, 1970 in Red Oak, IA the daughter of Albert Eugene and Barbara (Coulston) Barrett.  She grew up in Richmond, MO and Orrick, MO and was a 1988 graduate of Richmond High School.  On September 14th, 1991 she was united in marriage to Oliver Beck in Henrietta, MO.  Kim had a big heart and always tried to put a smile one everyone’s face.  She loved to cook and always prepared enough food for an “army”.  Kim was the best grandma that anyone could ask for and loved nurturing.  She enjoyed playing games, being around her family and friends and having a full house.

Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Barrett, 1 aunt and 2 uncles.

Survivors include: husband, Oliver of the home; mother, Barbara Stratton of Gallatin, MO; father, Albert (Joyce) Barrett of Richmond, MO; daughter, Amanda (Alex) Wright of Lexington, IL; son, Zack (Cheslea) Beck of Richmond, MO; brother, Randy (Stephanie) Barrett of Independence, MO; brother, Tim (Rachel) Barrett of Mission, Kansas; grandchildren Eli, Alina, and Brynlee. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and other extended family members also survive.
