A Gilman City youth was seriously injured in an accident that happened at 10:44 a.m. on June 9, 2018, in Harrison County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Quentin Hughs, 16, Gilman City, was eastbound on Hwy. 146 in a 2006 Ford Focus. He crossed the center of the roadway and overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway, overturned twice, and came to rest on its wheels facing southwest.
Quentin was transported by Grundy County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital. He was wearing his seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. Q.R. McConkey, assisted by Tpr. J.C. Acree and the Grundy County Sheriff.
