The Board of the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra cordially invite all area residents to enjoy the summer concert at 7 pm on June 16 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church on Oklahoma Avenue in Trenton.
The doors will be open for seating at 6:30 pm at the conclusion of the dress rehearsal.
The theme of the concert is “The Music of Living.” Some of the songs you will be hearing are five movements from “Ballet Parisienne,” “Simple Gifts,” “MacArthur Park,” three movements from “The Irish Washerwoman,” “The Music of Living,” “Fly Away Home,” “Lullaby,” “I Carry Your Heart With Me,” “Don’t Be Afraid,” “Irish Blessing,” and “Listen to the Rain.”
The choral musical director is Monica Fawson. Cathie Lowrey is the pianist. The orchestra director is Buddy Hannaford. The performing musicians from the choir and orchestra come from across North Missouri including Trenton, Chillicothe, Milan, Gallatin, Cameron, Princeton, Altamont, Ludlow, Pattonsburg and Marshall.
Hodge Presbyterian Church allowed space for rehearsals. First Baptist Church permitted rehearsals and a concert. Larry Dannar provided technical support of the sound system.
There is no charge for the concert, but the GRVCO will be accepting donations for expenses and to purchase music for future concerts.  All donations are tax deductible with the GRVCO being a public charity with an IRS 501(C)3 determination.
A special donors club has been implemented for the benefit of the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra, and forms will be available at the concert.
There will be a DVD and CD available for order of the program. Order blanks will be available the night of the performance for those that are interested.
Please join the GRVCO members after the performance for a cookie reception in the basement of the First Baptist Church.
