The tournament paired 160 golfers in teams of two for four days of best ball and alternate shot competition. The Garnett-Hadley team shot rounds of 64-73-61-71-(269) to finish in a tie for fourth place, three strokes off the winning score.
The unique format featured best ball play in rounds one and three and alternate shot play in rounds two and four. Players on each played their own ball for the entirety of rounds one and three, with the best score on each hole recorded. Players alternated shots per hole in rounds two and four. The total strokes taken resulted in the team’s score for that hole.
The next event on the PGA Tour is the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club, Charlotte, NC, beginning on Thursday.
