Village of Winston asks write-ins to fill board seats, two positions still open

Village of Winston organizes new board, needs people to run
The Winston Village Board of Trustees held a special meeting on April 16 to organize the new board. The new board looks a lot like the old board, as no one ran for any of the three open trustee positions during the April 3 municipal election.
The Certification of Election from the county clerk was accepted. Nichole Gregornick and Brenda Goll and Arvella Eaton, all currently serving on the board, were appointed as trustees and given the Oath of Office. They will each serve a one-year term until the next regular election.
Brenda Goll was nominated as Chair Pro Tem and Arvella Eaton as Mayor.
The clerk informed the board she sent out letters to all write-in candidates hoping to fill the other two positions on the board.
Trustees present at the April 16 meeting were Arvella Eaton, Brenda Goll and Nichole Gregornik. Others present: Amber White.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 7.
