Middle and long distance runners Claire Hemry and Ayden Wayne led Gallatin efforts Tuesday at the LeBlond Invitational held in St. Joseph.

Hemry captured the 1600 meter race and finished second in the 800 meter run as she continues to shave time off previous best marks. The Lady Bulldog freshman ran 5:39 in the 1600 meter and a 2:37.50 in the 800 meter run.
Ayden Wayne finished with a pair of runnerup finishes in his distance races. Wayne placed second in the 1600 meter run in 4:58.70 and took second in the 3200 meter run in 11:02.20.
Graydee Rains also picked up a second place finish for the Bulldogs, throwing 44-03 in the shot put. Bulldog distance relays finished third in the field. The quartet of Aidan Adkison, Landon Corwin, John Gibson and Noah Baker ran 3:47.50 in the 4×400 relay. The 4×800 relay team of Adksion, Johnny Stout, Gibson and Baker ran 9:16.40.
The Lady Bulldog 4×800 relay team of Libby Endicott, Cindy Hacking, Caragan Baker and Claire Hemry placed sixth in 11:43.80. Bethany Bailey finished eighth for Gallatin in the 3200 meter run in 15:23.70.
Gibson claimed a fourth place finish in the boys’ pole vault, clearing 10-0. Noah Baker placed fifth in the 400 meter dash in 55.30. Stout finished eighth in the 800 meter run in 2:24.70. Adam Perry threw 113-2.50 to place sixth in the discus event.
Bulldog squads will participate in the South Harrison Relays on Friday and travel to St. Joseph Christian on Tuesday for the Grand River Conference Meet.
