Jeramy Sanders, 21, Pattonsburg, was charged April 13 with class D felony domestic assault and class D felony tampering with a motor vehicle after an incident at a residence on Highway DD, Pattonsburg, on April 12. Bond was set at $25,000 cash.
According to the probable cause statement, at about 4:20 p.m. Sanders assaulted a male subject at the residence and forcefully took vehicle keys for a car that was on loan to the male subject. Sanders then took the 2003 Kia Sorento from the residence without permission.
The owner of the vehicle reported the theft at 5:03 p.m.
Sanders was later located in Pattonsburg and arrested on two Daviess County warrants for failure to appear for possession of marijuana. Sanders was transported to DDCRJ on $658 bond. A computer check shows that Sanders does not have a valid driver’s license.
Sanders lives at the above residence with his mother. The assault victim also resides there and is in a romantic relationship with Sanders’ mother.
