Aubrey Nelson continues her admiration and dedication with FBLA-PBL with a successful selection as the 2018-2019 PBL-Missouri State President. PBL is the collegiate organization which college students may join to continue their pursuit of business knowledge and leadership.
Aubrey began her state officer position journey during her junior year at Gallatin High School in 2014, as the FBLA state reporter.
She then continued on to “fill the shoes” as the FBLA Missouri State President, guiding over 15,000 students in 2015.
The two state officer terms were through Gallatin R-5, under advisor Barb Holcomb.
Upon graduation from GHS in 2015, Aubrey continued with her A-Plus program at North Central Missouri College, assisting in the reorganization of the NCMC PBL Chapter.
While at NCMC, Aubrey went on to compete at the state and national level under the advisement of NCMC business teacher, Sarah Bird.
Aubrey has most recently served as PBL Missouri State Secretary, while continuing her pursuit of a bachelor’s in political science pre-law, with a minor in criminology.
Aubrey is a junior and serves as a Northwest Missouri State Ambassador and a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Aubrey took over the duties as the Missouri State PBL president during ceremonies this April in Springfield.
Aubrey will travel to Baltimore, MD, this summer for the National Leadership Conference, assisting in workshops and competitive events.
Aubrey will stand as being the first individual through the FBLA-PBL organization to hold both the office of FBLA State President and PBL State President.
Aubrey is the daughter of Bill and Vera Nelson, and the granddaughter of Sarah Dowell, Jack Dowell and the late Judy Nelson, all of Gallatin.
