Two adults were seriously hurt in an accident, but a nine-month-old baby received only minor injuries due to being properly secured in a child safety seat, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The collision happened at 2:51 p.m. on April 1 in Daviess County, about five miles east of Gallatin.

According to the state patrol, Angelina Aban Yor, 49, Kirksville, was eastbound on Highway 6 and Ashley Waldron, 26, Plattsburg, was westbound.

Ms. Aban Yor lost control on the snow-covered roadway. Her 2007 Saturn Aura crossed the center line and struck Waldron’s 2006 Dodge Stratus head on.

Both vehicles spun 180 degrees. The Aban Yor vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane, facing west. The Waldron vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane facing east.

Both Ms. Waldron, 26, and an occupant in her vehicle, Matthew Morgan, 26, Plattsburg, received serious injuries. Ms. Waldron was taken to Liberty Hospital by Daviess County Ambulance. Mr. Morgan was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County EMS. The baby, Caden Morgan, received minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional by Daviess County EMS.

Both vehicles were totaled.
