Most people are unaware of controlled burns; this keeps us notified and prevents unnecessary calls to 911. Burn wisely!!
Two from Gallatin turn themselves in on drug charges
Kelly Beck, 52, and Ashley Beck, 26, have turned themselves in on drug charges that were filed March 8 in Daviess County. Kelly Beck turned himself in on March 20 and posted bond of $1,500 for misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Ashley Beck turned herself in on March 21 and was transferred to the regional jail on an A felony warrant of distribution of controlled substance with bond set at $50,000.
The charges were filed after a search warrant was executed at their residence in Gallatin, following the arrest of a St. Joseph man, Leo Allen Gibson, who was observed running from their residence with a black bag. Gibson was charged with A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:30 pm – Kelly Beck, 52, Gallatin, turned himself in on a warrant for misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Beck posted a $1,500 cash bond and was released.

2:24 pm – Report of a peace disturbance in Altamont. Daviess County deputy responding. All is settled.
6:04 pm – Report of cow out on Otter off of Highway DD. Owner advised.
10:11 pm – Ashley Beck, 27, Gallatin, turned herself in on an A felony warrant of distribution of a controlled substance. Beck was transferred to DDCRJ on $50,000 bond.
11:59 pm – Report of strong odor of gas at residence in Gallatin. Daviess County deputy assisting with Summit Gas.

6:31 pm – Report of vehicle rollover on Highway P with injuries.
7:26 pm – Subject taken into custody from above accident; transferred to DDCRJ on 24 hour hold pending charges.
9:52 pm – Complaint regarding stolen medication.
10:40 pm – Complaint of loud music in Winston.

11:05 am – Out with stranded motorist on I-35 at the 69mm.
1:54 pm – Andrew Adkison, 29, Jameson, was charged with DWI-serious physical injury and traffic offenses. He was taken into custody on 3-24-18 after a car accident. Adkison posted bond and was released.
5:36 pm – Report of injured bald eagle south of Gallatin.
6:17 pm – Pony out on Highway 69 north of Highway KK.
7:02 pm – David Collier, 48, Kansas City, was arrested on a Lee’s Summit Police Department warrant for traffic offenses. Collier posted bond and was released.
9:46 pm – Assisting with stranded motorist at gas station in Pattonsburg.
10:29 pm – Complaint of large party south of Jamesport.

4:29 am – Subject reporting he heard someone trying to get into his residence in Lock Springs.
Sheriff in area and has not located anyone at this time.
10:52 am – Subject requesting well-being on person near Gallatin. All OK.
12:59 pm – Report of calf out on Highway M and Yale Avenue.
2:24 pm – Deputies out at Winston School.
5:21 pm – To report of verbal domestic situation north of Winston.
