Gallatin’s defending state champion golf team started the season right where it left off, with a victory in tournament play. The Bulldogs combined for a team total 237 to best all others at last Wednesday’s Orrick best shot tournament held at Shirkey Golf Club in Richmond.

Jett Simmons and Jaryd Brogan combined for a round of 74 to finish in first place. Logan Burns and Colin Beck teamed up for an 80 to place second. Gabe Cole and Haden Bradford combined for an 83.
