State FFA Degrees were announced March 1. Colin Beck and Megan Cox will be receiving their degrees at convention in April. FFA members who will receive their Area Degrees are Jerilynn Hoover, Shaunessy Eaton, Kelli Lynch.
Five Gallatin R-5 FFA students have qualified for state in proficiency areas. They are Shaunessy Eaton, Food Service Placement; Declan Schweizer, Diversified Crop Production Placement; Graydee Rains, Fiber and Oil Crop Production; Megan Cox, Beef Production Entrepreneurship; and Addison Burns, Agriscience Research Plant Science. These five students’ applications will now be judged at State FFA Convention in April.
Other Area II Proficiency Winners were Tayton Terry, 2nd place, Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Placement; Jessica Hart, 2nd place, Poultry Production, 3rd place, Wildlife Management; Tom Crouse, 3rd place, Equine Ownership; Colin Beck, 3rd place, Ag Sales Placement. Jacob Wilson, Owen Schweizer, Graydee Rains, Bethany Bailey, Justice Fry, Kelli and Klayton Lynch all received 4th place in their award areas.
FFA Book results are as follows: Libby Endicott, Silver Recordbook for Beginning Ownership; Megan Cox, Gold, Completed Ownership; Shaunessy Eaton, Silver, Completed Placement; Hayden Jumps, 1st Place, Gold and onto state, Beginning Placement Recordbook.
Maddison Michael made it out of FFA Creed Speaking Preliminaries and will compete Wednesday, March 14, for finals in the area. Macie McNeely qualified for State FFA Choir.
