Funeral services for Francis Willits will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial is at Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby. Memorial donations may be made to the Winston Baptist Church.

Francis Edward Slim Willits, 88, Cameron, died on March 10, 2018.
Francis was born on Aug. 31, 1929, in Weatherby, to Walter Bryan and Mary Elizabeth (Alcock) Willits. Francis was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean War.
Francis worked as a mechanic at Lake City Ammunition Plant, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Winston Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Charles Edward and Steven Eugene Willits; and a sister, Margaret.
Survivors include four sons, Johnnie, Wayne and Donald Willits, Weatherby, and Robert (Erin) Willits, St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
