Access II Independent Living Center in Gallatin has received a three year accreditation by CARF International.
CARF stands for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
A three-year accreditation is the highest award given by CARF.
To receive the three-year accreditation the organization must satisfy each of the CARF accreditation conditions and demonstrate substantial conformance to the standards.
The organization must be designed and operated to benefit the persons served, and must demonstrate quality improvement from any previous periods of CARF accreditation.
Grant toward ipads
Access II of Gallatin recently received a $500 Community Partnership fund grant from Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri (CAPNCM) for the purchase of iPads for staff to use in the homes of the people with disabilities who are served. Enough funds to purchase the equipment have been secured with a total of $2,500 raised.
