Funeral services for Leah Vandivert will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Bethany. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund, in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Leah F. Vandivert, 89, Bethany, died March 5 at a Bethany nursing home.

She was born on June 8, 1928, in Martinsville, the daughter of Charlie Vincent and Wilma Christine (Baker) Snead.

On Aug. 21, 1955, she married Worth Vandivert in Kidder. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Snead. Leah was a homemaker and a farm wife.

Survivors include her sons, Donald (Linda) Vandivert, Bethany, Charles (Debbie) Vandivert, Springfield, Richard (Tammy) Vandivert, Maryville; special niece, Annie (Rob) Zirfas, Bethany; sisters, Justine Vaughn, Pattonsburg, Elenor Meredith, Bethany, Elaine Meinecke, Ridgeway; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
