Adam Albert was appointed as water superintendent for the City of Pattonsburg with a salary of $50,000. He will be allowed to take the truck home, but only use it for city business.
At a monthly inspection with Mr. Albert, the board noted improvements, such as maintenance and cleaning.
MFA was presented with a lease agreement for the light plant building in the Old Town. MFA wants to store chemicals in the rented building. The lease was provided by the city’s attorney. The lease payment will be $12 per year, with the initial term of five years. This agreement will automatically renew for up to three additional periods of five years, or for 20 years total.
Employee interviews were set for Feb. 21. Ads were placed in the newspaper for part time office help and a general laborer.
Water Superintendent Albert presented to the council a quote from Layne Christensen Company to do predictive well maintenance on all three wells to keep tabs on the performance of the pumping assemblies and the condition of the wells. The board accepted the quote in the amount of $5,160.
Mr. Albert asked the council’s permission to purchase some insulators for the meter pits at $25 (each comes in a sleeve of 15) and 8 Bac-T sample stations at $3,123. The board approved the purchases.
Lucille Lusk with Small Town Cooperation Board presented four bills, which the board approved. Lucille Lusk with Municipal Assistance Company asked the council for a trip fee of $30 for the ordinance patrols. After discussion the board agreed to pay the fee.
