Seven sophomores from the Hamilton High School Transitions class toured Gallatin Publishing Company (GPC) and other Gallatin businesses on Feb. 27 in observance of Job Shadow Week. GPC pressman and sports writer Dennis Cox showed the students how newspaper pages are processed into plates which are placed on the web press, and the group observed the daily press run of the Trenton Republican-Times. The trip to Gallatin was organized by Lindsay Hartzler, MU transitions coordinator. The group also visited the Daviess County Sale Barn, Gallatin Truck and Tractor, Access II Independent Living Center, and Dungy’s Grocery Store.
