Vic Hacker, 76, of Winston, formerly of Gallatin, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial is at the McCrary Cemetery, south of Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the McCrary Cemetery in care of McWilliams Funeral Home.

Vic was born May 30, 1941, the son of Roy Victor and Gladys (Parton) Hacker in Gallatin, Mo.
He began his working career at Snyder Rock Quarry where he became skilled in operating heavy equipment. He later started working construction and continued as a heavy equipment operator for several years.
In 1967 Vic changed professions and started laying carpet for North Missouri Rug where he was employed for 30 years.
He was skilled with his hands and would tackle any job with ease. He was always eager to please his customers.
He retired from Grand River Quarry in 2003.
Vic was united in marriage to Doreen McLaughlin on Dec. 29, 1995, in Gallatin where the couple made their home, later moving to Winston.
Vic was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Vic passed on his skills to his children. He made lasting relationships wherever he went.
He enjoyed playing pool and every chance he could get he would go fishing; he liked being outdoors.
Vic was at his best when he was spending time with his family. His infectious smile and attitude toward life made him the man he was.
Vic was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Gayla Whitt, two sisters, Betty Bledsoe and Barbara Harris, and wife Susan Hacker.
Vic is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Doreen of the home, sons, Steve (Stacy) Hacker of Chillicothe, Troy Hacker of Fredericktown, Mo., Craig (Kelly) Hacker of Monroe, N.C., Dennis (Evelyn) Hacker of Dawn, Mo., Larry (Janet) Rhoades of Gallatin, Mo, Allen (Angel) Rhoades of Winston, Mo., sister; Fern (Marty) Burns of Clarksdale, Mo; 21 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
