Two St. Cloud, MN, residents were arrested after a traffic stop in Daviess County by the Highway Patrol on Feb. 11.

According to the probable cause report, Cpl. J. Cross initially made the stop for speeding on I-35 southbound. When the driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, Bryon Cunningham, 48, stepped back to the patrol car, the trooper noticed a methamphetamine pipe on the driver side floorboard. Cunningham also threw a baggie of crystal-like substance on the ground. The trooper then placed him under arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, Cpl. Cross also found another baggie of crystal-like substance and two pipes in the purse of passenger Amy E. Hunter, 37, and additional drugs and paraphernalia in the driver’s area.
A computer check revealed that Cunningham’s license was revoked in Minnesota and a conviction for possession of controlled substance in 2001. Hunter’s history revealed a conviction for possession of controlled substance in 2015.
Cunningham was charged with felony of possession of controlled substance and multiple misdemeanor charges, with bond set at $35,000. Hunter was charged with felony possession of controlled substance and misdemeanor charge of paraphernalia, with bond set at $25,000. They were transported to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.
